Girls Child Education Empowerment
80 of our girl’s scholars (7-9 years of age) supported by the Jean Herskovits Foundation went on learning excursion visits to @freedomradiong @Tambaritv @ovodinaturalskincare @zaradoughnuts and @S.Faribeautysaloon.
The purpose of the visits was to show the girls the numerous career choices available to them, when they grow up. It was an opportunity for them to meet with female owners of most of the places visited to show them they can aspire to be whatever they want and excel at it.
The big smiles on their faces said it all! They were overjoyed as coming from public primary schools it was the first time in most of the girls’ lives that they had gone on a learning trip of any kind and it was a learning experience for all of them.
Some of the girls said they wanted to become chefs, journalists, beauticians, and newscasters of tomorrow.
We wish to express our deepest appreciation to all the places visited for taking the time out of their busy schedules to make the girls’ outings enjoyable and memorable.
