Isa Wali Empowerment Initiative (IWEI) is a non-governmental and non-profit organization founded as a family legacy foundation in honour of their father late Ambassador Isa Wali. IWEI was registered with Corporate Affairs Commission, Abuja, Nigeria, certificate no. 856560 in November, 2009. For almost two decades, IWEI has implemented programs that empower young women and girls with education, skills, access to opportunities and networking.

We empower young women and girls to understand, assert, and defend their legal rights effectively. We provide legal education, training, and support to equip individuals with the knowledge and tools to navigate legal systems.

Livelihood Support

Economic empowerment is essential for achieving gender justice. Our livelihood support programs aim to enhance economic opportunities and financial independence for women and girls, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds.
