ROOTS Project (2025–2028)

Supported by Malala Fund, the ROOTS Project supports out-of-school girls aged 12 to 24 in Kano State to access education, wellbeing support, and safe learning spaces. Through safe-space learning, peer mentoring, and Gender-Transformative Positive Parenting, the project helps girls close learning gaps, return to school, and remain engaged in their education. ROOTS also works with families and communities to shift harmful gender norms and strengthen girls’ right to learn, participate, and thrive.
