The Justice For All (II) (2025-2026)
The Justice for All (II) project is a 12-month initiative aimed at increasing legal awareness and access to justice among vulnerable women, girls, youth, and marginalized communities in Kano State. Many individuals remain unaware of their rights under the Kano State Administration of Criminal Justice Law (ACJL) 2019, leaving them vulnerable to abuse, discrimination, and wrongful detention.
Building on a successful pilot project in November 2024, this initiative uses a multi-faceted approach: developing accessible communication materials in Hausa and English, conducting media and community outreach, engaging key stakeholders, and providing direct legal aid through community-based law clinics. By improving legal literacy and promoting equitable access to justice, the project empowers communities to claim their rights and strengthens a more just and accountable legal system in Kano State. This is implemented with support from the Rule of Law and Anti- Corruption (RoLAC) Programme.
